The project "Introducing skills Sustainability and Human Development at the Barcelona School of Informatics using Service Learning" was presented by professors of the FIB, Marc Alier, Jose Cabre, Jordi Garcia, David Lopez and Fermín Sánchez , by professors of the ETSETB, Josep Pegueroles and Era Vidal  and by the Student of the FIB, Helena Garcia.

The project describes the various initiatives that the STEP-FIB group has led to develop the competence Sustainability and social compromise in the curriculum of Bachelor Degree in Informatics Engineering.

The prize was awarded at Robinson College, Cambridge University (UK) last September 24 in the context of the conference "Engineering Education for Sustainability Development, EESD13 Rethinking the Engineer". The award is given by the project GDEE (Global Dimension in Engineering Education) of the EC.
