Professor Mateo Valero awarded with the Distinguished Service Award from the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) for leading European initiatives that have enabled progress in research and education in high performance computing.
This award, with which the association stresses "the value and level of service to the computing community" is one of the most prestigious computer science worldwide. The association also has valued the excellent track record of the director of BSC-CNS, with the most prestigious awards in the field of supercomputing.UPC Press Release
