The company uWhisp, founded by students from the BarcelonaTech (UPC), has won the World Technology Award 2012 in the category of Marketing Communications. The award was received by Joan Casas, CEO of the company, at a gala in New York, in the United States. Casas founded the company with his fellow Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB) Yuri Aranda, Miguel Heras and Miquel Puig.
