Antoni Giró has participated in many projects, both Catalan and national as well as international, in the fields of teaching, research and management. From his extensive career, his ability to combine physical sciences and computer science stands out. Josep Casanovas, former dean of FIB and one of the founders of Festibity, and Ricard Leal, Account Executive at Salesforce, presented this distinction.

Recently retired as an emeritus full professor at UPC, Antoni Olivé has been a professor, researcher, novelist, PhD holder, dean, vice-dean, director, expert witness, speaker, among many other roles. The award was presented by the Dean of FIB, Josep Fernandez, and the General Director of Inetum in Catalonia, Susana Prado.
On the other hand, former vice-dean and professor of FIB, Ricard Gavaldà, received the Fiberemprenedors Mention on behalf of the company Amalfi Analytics. The award was presented by Benito Cerrillo, president of FIB Alumni, and David Mañas, Director of Cloud Infrastructure & Security at T-Systems.

This year’s edition of Festibity was dedicated to reflecting on the role and impact of technology in the context of the pandemic crisis. The awards are presented by the Barcelona School of Informatics and FIB Alumni (Association of FIB Alumni).
