Abstract
Business Process Management (BPM) is an integrated body of principles, methods and tools for the discovery, analysis, implementation, execution and ultimately improvement of business operations. The demand for BPM is driven by demands for increased operational excellence and cost-effective compliance practices. BPM forms a widely recognized foundation for IT projects and is a key issue in discussions related to outsourcing and mergers. This one day course introduces the core principles and practices of BPM, with a focus on how to derive value from a BPM program within an organization. The course provides an overview of the state-of-the-art methods for BPM, and considers how to select and adopt a customized BPM approach that is aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization.
