Servers

In the FIB's Computing Laboratory we have the following servers that are dedicated to teaching.

LASUNO is a Sun Fire V40Z server running the Solaris operating system. It is a server for the different databases and provides support for laboratory subjects for the Departments of Computer Architecture and Software, and in addition, on this server all students have an account for working from the classrooms or from home with SSH.

ASTRODON is a Dell PowerEdge 2850 server running the Windows 2000 Server operating system. It is a print server, SQL Server database server and licence server for the different Windows applications.

CORREU is a Dell PowerEdge 2550 server. As its name suggests it is the student mail server.

DIMPA and BASKA are two Sun Fire v40z servers running the Linux operating system. These machines are file servers for the PCs in the classrooms with Windows and Linux.

ALBANTA is a DELL PowerEdge 2650 server running the Linux operating system. It is used for the operating systems subjects.

POLARIS is an HP ProLiant DL385G2 server running the Solaris operating system. It is a server for the Oracle database and it is also used to support different subjects for the different departments.
