Web services

The FIB offers a large number of services over the web. The majority of these are offered through the Racó, the School’s intranet, where you will have access to a set of services that matches your profile.

In addition to the Racó, the FIB also hosts personal web pages for students and subject web pages.

The UPC also provides web access to environments other than the FIB ones, such as the Atenea teaching intranets.

Frequent Asked Questions

I am a FIB student and I forgot my password. What should I do?
You have two options. The first, if you are able to get to operations services, is to ask an operator to change your password. The second, which is better if you wish to do it yourself, is to connect to the Gauss server and follow the instructions for changing your password.

The Gauss web page is the following: Link

I am a lecturer who has to give classes in the FIB and I don't have access to the Racó. What should I do? In order to access the Racó you must be assigned to the FIB as a lecturer. Check that your department has passed the information to the School and if you still do not appear in the Racó, please contact webmaster@fib.upc.edu.

In webmail I have lost some folders where I had stored mail. What happened?

In webmail you will only see the folders that you are subscribed to, the others do not disappear but they are hidden. This feature is used in other email clients to hide the system folders.

In order to see these folders again, you need to go into webmail and go to "Folders". A window will open where you will see the INBOX, and you will need to click to expand it. Click on "Show unsubscribed" and you will see all of the folders. Mark the ones you want to see and in "Choose Action" select "Subscribe to Folders". In this way the folders that you need will be available.
