Academic Progress Requirements

The University requires its students to make minimum academic progress in order to ensure that reasonable use is made of the resources provided.

The section on minimum academic progress requirements in UPC's General Academic Regulations can be found on the following website:

http://www.upc.edu/catala/estudis/1ri2ncicle/normativa/permanencia.htm

(only in catalan/spanish)

The following paragraphs explain these rules in the context of the MTI syllabus and the School's rules, which expand on certain aspects of UPC's General Academic Regulations.

  1. According to the General Academic Regulations, the Committee responsible for the MTI can decide on the minimum academic progress requirements for the MTI first year's students. They cannot be lower that 12 ECTS.

  2. The MTI should be accomplished in four whole-time semesters. As the mobility of students will be highly encouraged, one extra semester will be allowed.

  3. The MTI Syllabus Assessment Committee will be responsible for the syllabus MTI assessment, which is the procedure by which credits are awarded to students. This Committee will meet at the end of each semester in order to analyze the students academic progress and, eventually, to decide on their continuity in the MTI.

  4. The students who follow a double degree program will be allowed six semesters to be awarded both degrees.

  5. One additional semester will be allowed for the part-time students in order to accomplish the master's degree.
