Master in Sustainability, Technology and Innovation
International Master created by a consortium of the following universities:

  • Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT)
  • Purdue University
  • Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC-BARCELONATECH)

The Master STI is a quality program, designed under the framework of the Atlantis project for the development of joint degrees between the European Union and the United States of America in the field of Sustainability, Technology and Innovation.

RecipientsThe Master STI is aimed at students of the European Union and the United States of America. Candidates must:

- have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
- have a good level of English: iBT TOEFL Score of 77 (or equivalent) with minimum values of:
  (*) Reading: 19
  (*) Writing: 18
  (*) Speaking: 18
  (*) Listening: 14

Candidates are selected based on their academic background, his motivations and his personal project. Each academic year up to 3 students can be selected from the UPC.

Description

The Master's curriculum is based on the existing:

  • Master of Sustainability, Technology and Innovation (Dublin Institute of Technology)
  • Master in Technology (Purdue University)
  • Masters in Sustainability (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya)

Students must take one semester in each of the European institutions and the last two periods at Purdue. Upon completion of 120 ECTS they will receive the master degree of their home institution as well as Purdue's. The curricula of the Masters will be the basis to design the specific curriculum for each student.

The specific curriculum for each student will be agreed between the academic committee of the master, with one representative of each institution, and the student. Besides the modules of the thematic areas of sustainability, technology and innovation, students must take part in academic activities related to language and culture of each country. According to its international character, aim of the course is deepening the knowledge of a second language.

Scholarships

Students admitted to the Master under the Atlantis program will enjoy a scholarship of 12,000 euros to cover the expenses of his stay at Purdue. Also be eligible for an Erasmus grant for your stay in Dublin, under the conditions set by the LLP.
