Mobility programs

SOCRATES / LLP

It is an educational european mobility program, where 30 european countries participate. It s purpose is promoting the learning of languages, promoting students' mobility and innovation.

SICUE

The “Sistema de Intercambio entre Centros Universitarios Españoles” (SICUE), is a spanish national mobility program.

You can attend elective subjects, free election subjects or the Final Project/Thesis to different spanish universities. Program SICUE is supported by several scholarships, among them there is the national program of assistence for the mobility of students “Séneca” of the Ministry of Education and Science.

UNITECH

It is a European mobility program that tries to form the futures technological directive. During an intensive year abroad, the students of Unitech complement their technological degrees with an international academic year, making courses oriented to the management and practices in companies.

KNOW EUROPE

It is an intensive program in the European context of the business world. Each week the courses are done in a different city (Amsterdam, Brussels, Le Havre, Paris and Barcelona) and the teachers belong from different European universities and/or from the business word.

AMÉRICA LATINA

The UPC has different agreements with universities from South America. In addition the UPC also participates in program CINDA

VULCANUS

The objective of the Vulcanus Program is to make possible to the European college students the knowledge of the technologies outposts that use the Japanese companies, in addition to its sensibility on the Japanese culture and the knowledge of its language. After the conclusion of the stay, the student will count on greater labor opportunities to the salary been in contact with Japanese companies and companies.

The Vulcanus Program consists of the accomplishment of industrial practices in a city of Japan, that begin in the month of September and finalize in the month of August of the following year, to be able to continue studies according to the academic calendars of the European institutions. For it, the students make:
  • A seminary of one week in Japan.
  • An intensive course of Japanese of four months of duration.
  • A period of practices of 8 months in a Japanese company.

 

Requirements

  • To be citizen of the European Union.
  • To be university student as of the third year.
  • The students must be able to reside for a reason or purpose in Japan during a year with the agreement of their respective universities or of sabbatic year.

 

Financing


Vulcanus in Japan is financed by the Japanese company of welcome and the UE-Japan Center for the Industrial Cooperation. The students receive a scholarship of 15,000 euros for the roundtrip and the expenses of the cost of the life in Japan. They are lodged by the company that welcomes to them during the 12 months. The courses of languages and the seminary are in charge of the UE-Japan center for the Industrial Cooperation.

 

Criteria of selection


The applicants are selected on the basis of their academic file and to the opinion of their professors, to its knowledge of English spoken and written, to their motivation and its attitude as opposed to the UE-Japan relations and to its capacity of adaptation.

UPC-EUROPA

The UPC-Europe program such offer the same benefits that the Socrates program, with the difference that the students do not receive any economic aid.
This program gives the possibility to the students who are as exchange students on a Socrates program of being able to prorogue it to whom already they have finalized the stay, or of having access to a second mobility to another European country.

Leonardo program

Directed to the young people who work or have just obtained the degree, it offers the possibility of making practices in companies of several European countries.

Requirements:

  • To have information or labour experience in the professional scope that is asked for to have.
  • To have knowledge of the language of the receiving country. The expenses of the intensive course of the language, of the roundtrip, the lodging in regime of average pension or of the insurance are the responsibility of the program. The requests can be presented/displayed all the year.

IAESTE

IAESTE is an organization for the university interchange of students from technical and scientific degrees that want to get experience abroad related with their studies. The student must obtain a scholarship in his country so that other person can work, to contact with companies of the technological sector in order to make that these companies will accept a foreign student to work in practices. The obtained scholarships get a score according to their characteristics, which establishes the order to choose.

Becas Argo

Scholarships for graduated without working experience. ARGO offers the graduated practical work in all Europe and contributes with a small economic aid.

DOUBLE DEGREE

FIB has signed different agreements of double degree with several foreign universities.

The student who has the specific requirements will obtain the official degree at UPC and the one from the host university.

Each agreement of double degree has specific requirements, so to be able to ask for it the student will have to fulfill the requirements.
